Kite tenjo fanfiction12/29/2023 The fact that he posed as the final opponent to defeat the Barians was such an interesting evolution as you could feel his torn but committed to the people that he believes are his own while it's on the other side, there is a strong sense of loyalty Shark consistently shows and it is very awesome to see a character remain strong in the face of so much change. Then, just when Shark's sister gets added and we think we have him figured out, he's a Barian! I understand how that shift may have irked some people but this was such an interesting conflict to me as you really feel his struggle, not wanting to accept what others have told him but also feeling a belonging to something that he doesn't fully know. In the first episode, I thought Shark was a throwaway bully, but he very quickly changed from that to a crucial piece of the story (whether with his revenge towards Quattro or his relationship with Yuma). There has never been another yugioh character like Shark and I'm so happy they took the risk with this character because it worked so well. While Kite was so great, he reminded too much of Kaiba to be seen as a novel character. Shark though is the more interesting character in my opinion. By the end of the show, the unapproachable demeanor has eroded and he is a character who lifts up those around him and wants to be more involved in their lives. Kite begins as a villain of sorts, almost taking away Utopia from Yuma, but finds himself a key friend by the end, showing Yuma how to be a more confident duelist and playing a major role in the ending of the show by sending Yuma Numeron Dragon. He is unbelievably confident, uses a powerful dragon that is one of a kind, has an evil father (for at least half the show) and has a weakness for only his little brother. Kite is Zexal's attempt at making another Kaiba. Both characters are amazing in my opinion, adding to the story and showing the impact of Yuma as well. Kaiba was a happy exception in the original show but other than that I can't think of better supporting, awesome duelists, than Shark and Kite. ![]() Shark and Kite - When I think back to the previous shows, they almost all have the same main issue, that when things are bad only the main character is able to defeat the evil. Astral is a huge reason why the show came off as more mature than I expected it to be and the fact that he shows real growth by the end of the show and no longer wants to eliminate Barian world makes you feel that the story has a real purpose. Having to structure a deck around monsters of similar levels and not relying on tributing or tuning was a huge shift and it was awesomeĪstral - The character is just very easy to like and the concept of seeing a character learn an entirely new world from his observations was a really cool perspective for the show to take. New Summoning method: The XYZ summoning was an awesome new way to summon monsters and added a cool new element to the duels in the shows as well as the meta-game outside of the anime. I have 10 goods and 10 bads listed below and would appreciate anyone else's thoughts on this It had its downsides but I think for the 3rd spin-off show it wasn't half bad However, I was genuinely surprised with how much I enjoyed the show. ![]() So I will admit that I was nervous about Zexal and didn't think I would like it since it seemed like a reboot meant for the next generation of fans and not one that would honor the show we all knew growing up. ![]() In fact, I've watched most of these episodes 3-5 times as I am just a huge fan of the stories and the show in general. I have watched all 224 episodes of the original Yu-Gi-Oh, all 180 of GX, and all 154 of 5Ds. Before I get into the review, want to give the proper context for this viewpoint.
